THE CHALLENGE
Being part of a such revolutionary new industry is very challenging from a technology point of view but also from a creative angle.
Over the past years, I’ve been working with many cyber security startups from around the world, which helped me realize that there’s no standard for cyber iconography. Every time, we have to create new icons — this is true for each project I’ve worked with at Inkod, my digital studio, or during my journey as the VP Creative at Cybereason, or today as part of Aquasec team.
So never too late ;)
After many hours of research, competitive analysis, exploring cyber icons from all around the world to define what will be the standard, we at Aquasec are very pleased to introduce the richest set of cloud native security icons.

for his help and creativity with the ongoing FX mission to create a Cloud Native Security Icon Standard.

It was a challenge to create the symbols that fit into the numerous constraints of an icon set — dimensions, readability, grid and the bold style of Aqua. It’s really satisfying to see it today as the most famous and selective icon library, hosted as an open source GitHub repository and part of The Noun Project.
As always, research and communication are key. We’ve saved a lot of time by getting the real “inside information” from the users of those assets to better understand the different use cases.”
This initiative is part of the broader Fusion Experience goal to create a holistic creative mindset and to connect the dots. Today, these icons are being used across channels while helping empower the brand of Aqua.
The Draw.io Library!
Here’s how to use it to build awesome diagrams:
- Download draw.io.xml from the latest release.
- Navigate to https://draw.io and create a new diagram.
- Click
File -> Open Library from -> Device - Select the draw.io.xml you downloaded in Step 1.

The Guideline
We defined some important rules to create much more homogeny around our new icons that are easy recognized and branded Aqua.
